Angoulême 2011

We were part of this years comic festival in Angoulême with our collective The Treasure Fleet. The amount of good and interesting new comics was overwhelming and the festival was more crowded than any comic festival I’ve been to before. We met a lot of nice people, sold well and had great fun! For more impressions, read on.

Arne Bellstorf, Ana Albero, Till Hafenbrack, me, Martin Ernstsen.

Paul Paetzel and Till Hafenbrack.

Aisha Franz, Paul Paetzel, Till Thomas.

Signing my comic.

People crowding in front of our table.

We were very lucky to have our table next to Special Comix from China. Great comics  and nice people!

Boris Peeters from Lamelos and Dmitry Yakovlev.

John Pham and Dash Shaw

Till, Arne, Ines.

Olivier Schrauwen, Tommi Musturi and Aapo Rapi (hidden in the righthand corner).

I proudly carry around a copy of Mould Map and enjoy a special Angoulême comic beer in the sun with Martin and Ines.

Aisha and Ines.

Size doesn’t matter! Five talented people in the comics crowd.

Every festival day in Angloulême ultimately ends with a beer at Le Chat Noir. Say hello to the host!

After four long festival days it was time to pack up and head home.

Goodbye Angoulême. Hope to see you again next year.
